Nigel Farage Claims Teachers of ‘Poisoning Our Kids’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike shortly after a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by instructing students that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

During an event for a Michigan-based religious institution, the politician expressed his perspective on British schools, claiming that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to be ashamed of their country. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They promote this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede dismissed the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his public life on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a fight,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he claims … Should he become prime minister he would undermine state services, including education … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, Farage’s remarks indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, a long-term effort to reform.”

He stated that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring a conservative activist, he commented: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to educate individuals that multiple perspectives exist and they should decide for themselves as opposed to what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with the UK’s largest teaching union, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted at school, their thinking tainted about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He stated such groups were “key to resistance”, noting: “I am serious. I will help attract vast numbers of young people to your online courses. I pledge this tonight and I will follow through.”

The institution, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of freedom. It offers these beautiful courses for no charge to every interested learner.”
